BMW M44B19 Troubleshooting

Engine difficult to start or won't start

No fuel in fuel tank - Add gasoline.
Low-quality gasoline - Change gasoline.
Dirty fuel system - Check and clean.
Defective spark plug wire connection - Inspect the spark plug wire connection, replace or repair.
Spark plug is defective - Change spark plug as required.
Ignition system failure - Test ignition and replace failed parts.
Fuel filter is plugged - Install new filter.
Dirt in the fuel lines - Fuel lines need to be cleaned.
Fuel pump is dirty or defective - Test fuel pump and replace if necessary.
Clogged or damaged fuel injectors - Clean or replace fuel injectors.

Irregular engine running

Ignition failure - Inspect ignition system and change faulty parts.
