BMW M43TU Troubleshooting

Engine doesn't start or starts hard

No fuel in fuel tank - Fill gasoline up.
Low-quality gasoline - Use correct gasoline grade.
Dirty fuel lines - Inspect and clean.
Loose or disconnected spark plug wire - Inspect the spark plug wire connection, replace or repair.
Damaged spark plug - Spark plug need to be replaced.
Defective ignition system - Check ignition and replace faulty components.
Fuel filter is dirty - Install new filter.
Clogged fuel lines - Service fuel lines.
Clogged or damaged fuel pump - Service or replace fuel pump.
Dirty or damaged fuel injectors - Service or change fuel injectors.
Bad engine compression - Inspect cylinder block and replace worn components.

Engine runs unevenly

Ignition system problems - Check ignition and replace faulty components.
Air filter element is clogged - Service or change air filter.
Spark plug is faulty - Change spark plug.
