Engine difficult to start or won't start

No gasoline in tank - Add gasoline.
Wrong fuel grade - Use quality gasoline.
Air in fuel system - Bleed fuel system.
Spark plug wire is disconnected or loose - Inspect the spark plug wire connection, replace or repair.
Faulty spark plug - Replace spark plug.
Ignition system problems - Check ignition and replace faulty components.
Fuel filter is clogged - Change fuel filter.
Dirt in the fuel lines - Fuel lines must be clean.
Fuel pump is damaged or dirty - Check fuel pump and replace if necessary.
Carburetor is not working properly - Inspect and adjust.
Poor cylinder compression - Check cylinder block and change worn parts.

Engine runs unevenly

Defective ignition system - Check ignition and replace faulty components.
Dirty air filter element - Clean or replace.
Faulty spark plug - Replace spark plug.
